About Us


Placing an Order

Ordering one of our Toyboxes online is easy, but before you click on an 'Order Form' button, you do need to read our full Product Information and these Order Terms.

When you are ready, click on an 'Order Form' button and follow the on-screen instructions to specify your chosen Toybox options and to complete and submit your Order Form. You may alternatively print off and submit the Order Form to us by post.

Note: No payment is required at the point of submitting your Order Form.

We will review your Order Form and clarify with you any aspects which appear uncertain or incomplete. We may acknowledge receipt of your Order by email or by post, but we will only accept your Order after we have determined that we can supply the goods specified within a reasonable period of time.

Your Order is accepted when we send an Order Confirmation & Invoice to the email address you specify in your Order Form. If you submit your Order Form by post and do not specify an email address, we will send an Order Confirmation & Invoice by post to the billing address specified in your Order Form.

The total cost of your Order will be clearly set out in our Order Confirmation & Invoice.

Important: Please check the information shown in our Order Confirmation & Invoice carefully and advise us of any discrepancies promptly by email or phone.  The Order Confirmation & Invoice will include the draft artwork for your requested engraving(s). Paying or arranging payment of our Invoice will constitute your approval of the engraving artwork and the order information shown and acceptance of these Order Terms.

 

How & When to Pay

Note: As our Toyboxes are made to specific customer order, please note that the processes of engraving (where applicable) and finishing your Toybox will not commence until after we receive confirmation of cleared payment of our Invoice.

You can pay our Invoice in a number of ways:

  • If you have telephone or internet home banking service with a UK bank, you can request your bank to make an electronic 'BACS' payment directly to us (our account details will be set out in our Invoice). It is important that you use our Invoice No as the payment reference. Please then email us to advise us of your 'BACS' payment.

  • If you order online via our website, the email Invoice we send you will include a web-link directing you to Paypal, the secure on-line payment service, where you can make payment using your credit / debit / charge card. You do not need to have a Paypal account to make a card payment to us via Paypal.

  • You can send us a personal cheque (drawn on a UK bank), a bank draft or an international money order by post. Please make it payable to The Wood Toybox Company and write your name and our Invoice No on the back. If you choose to pay by personal cheque, our completion date may extend beyond that estimated and shown in our Order Confirmation & Invoice to allow time for your cheque payment to clear.

Please do not send cash through the post.

 

Completion & Collection

We will endeavour to complete your Toybox within 10 to 15 working days after receiving payment for your Order, but seasonal variances do occur (e.g. pre-Easter and pre-Christmas periods and during the summer holiday period when our workshop closes for 4 weeks).  Our Order Confirmation & Invoice will show our estimated completion date for your ordered goods, but the date shown does presume your prompt settlement of the Invoice.

We will email or telephone you to confirm when your Toybox is complete and to agree a collection / delivery date with you.  Our Toyboxes are supplied fully assembled but without full transit packaging.

 

Cancelling Your Order

You may cancel your Order in writing provided we receive your cancellation notice (either by email or by post) before the goods you have ordered are collected from us or despatched.

If you have paid for your Order and you cancel it before the goods are collected from us or despatched, your refund will be the amount you have paid for the goods being cancelled, less:

  • an administration charge of GBP 10.00; and

  • up to GBP 50.00 per engraved panel only where the engraving process has commenced.

 

Our Returns Policy

We believe you will be satisfied with your purchase, but you may still return your purchase to us for any reason within 7 calendar days of collection / delivery, provided:

  • you arrange for the goods to be delivered back to us and the goods are received by us within the 7 calendar days period;

  • the goods being returned are complete and are received by us in fine condition for resale as new;

  • the goods being returned are properly packaged in their original packaging (where packaging was provided).

Your Toybox is a made-to-order product.  If the return conditions set out above are all met, your refund will be the amount you have paid for the goods being returned less:

  • an administration charge of GBP 10.00; and

  • up to GBP 50.00 per engraved panel for each Toybox you are returning.

No refund will be made in relation to any packaging surcharge (unless the packaging is returned to us complete and in fine condition for re-use) or in relation to any delivery service provided.

Except as provided for above, offers to accept the return of goods and make refunds are entirely at our discretion.

Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms.

 

Data Privacy

To proceed with an Order, we have to process and store relevant customer information about you and may provide some of that information to third parties who are involved with an Order (e.g. secure on-line payment service companies). By placing an Order with us, you agree to your data being processed and stored by The Wood Toybox Company in accordance with the requirements of the UK Data Protection Act.  We do not receive or store any information relating to customer credit / debit / charge cards.

Except as stated above or as may be required by law, we will not provide your customer information to third parties.

From time to time, we may advise you of our new product developments which we believe may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive such advices from The Wood Toybox Company, please let us know.

 

Design Changes

Our products are continuously reviewed for possible improvement or enhancement. We reserve the right to make minor changes at any time in their design or in the materials used in their production and without prior notice to supply you with products which may be at slight variance to those described or shown on our www.woodtoybox.co.uk website and in our product literature.

 

VAT

The prices indicated for our products and services are inclusive of any Value Added Tax which may be due and payable by EU customers at the prevailing UK rate.  The amount of any VAT payable will be shown separately on your Invoice.  The Wood Toybox Company is not at the present time required to register for, charge or collect Value Added Tax on its products sold and services provided from the UK.
